Health Informatics Laboratory

OUR MISSION

The main objective of the Health Informatics Laboratory is to cover educational and research needs of the Department of Nursing in the following areas:

  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in health
  • Health data management
  • Intelligent health information systems
  • Intelligent electronic health record
  • Health analytics
  • Health process analytics
  • Biomedical informatics and technology

 

Specifically, the objectives of the Laboratory are the following:

  1. The generation, acquisition and dissemination of knowledge and skills on contemporary digital health issues.
  2. Meeting the educational needs, at undergraduate and postgraduate level, of the Department of Nursing in subjects within the Laboratory’s areas of study.
  3. Participating in Research and Development projects within the scope of the Laboratory's areas of study.
  4. Any form of cooperation with research centres and academic institutions in Greece and abroad that deals with the same or similar subjects to those of the Laboratory.
  5. The organization of scientific events, the creation of publications and editions and the invitation of distinguished scientists.
  6. The provision of services to state owned and private organizations in accordance with the legislation in force.
