Dr. Joseph Liaskos is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Health Informatics Laboratory, within the Public Health Sector of the Department of Nursing at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in “Health Informatics.” He holds degrees from the Department of Nursing and the Department of History of the Ionian University. He also holds a M.Sc. in “Health Informatics” from the Interdepartmental – Interuniversity Postgraduate Program “Healthcare Management – Health Informatics” and a Ph.D. from the Department of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the subject of Health Informatics. He has participated in research and educational programs of the Health Informatics Laboratory of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, funded by European and national funds. At the undergraduate level, he teaches the laboratory courses “Introduction to Health Informatics and Data Management” and “Health Informatics” of the Department of Nursing. At the postgraduate level, he teaches the course “Principles of Informatics” in the Inter-University Postgraduate Program “Healthcare Management – Health Informatics” and the course “Electronic Health and its Applications” in the Postgraduate Programs of the Department of Nursing.

Dr. Spyros Zogas is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff of the Laboratory of Health Informatics, Department of Public Health, Department of Nursing, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with the subject "Health Informatics". He is a graduate of the Department of Physics, Faculty of Sciences, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, He has a Master's degree in "Health Informatics" of the Interdepartmental - Interuniversity Program of Studies "Health Services Organization and Management - Health Informatics" and is a PhD student of the Department of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the field of Health Informatics with a thesis title: "Distance Education in the Health Sector". He has participated in many Greek, European and international scientific conferences. He is a member of the organizing committee of the annual conferences (since 2013 ) ICIMTH (International Conference On Informatics, Management) and secretary of the scientific society of Biomedical Informatics and Health Informatics. He has extensive teaching experience. At the undergraduate level, she has been teaching the laboratory courses "Introduction to Informatics and Health Data Management" and "Health Informatics" at the Department of Nursing since 2001 until today. At the postgraduate level, he teaches the laboratory course "Principles of Informatics" in the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Programme "Organization and Management of Health Care".


Emmanouil Zoulias

Dr. Emmanouil Zoulias is a member of the Laboratory Teaching Staff of the Health Informatics Laboratory, Public Health Sector, Department of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a field of study “Health Informatics”. He is a graduate of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. He holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Technology from the University of Dundee and a PhD in the scientific area of ​​Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support Systems, with Machine Learning in Health. He has extensive experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and has participated in the design, development and implementation of many IT projects. He has worked for four years as an IT specialist in the Public Health System of Greece, while for ten years he has served at the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA), two of which as Head of the IT Department. His research focuses mainly on IT and Technologies in Health and Education, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, data analytics, data mining, IoT technologies, simulation technologies and 3D printing. In addition, he has over 16 years of experience in vocational training, including IT, project management, and process modelling. He has participated in numerous research projects funded by European and national sources, focusing on health and education. At the undergraduate level, he teaches the laboratory courses "Introduction to Health Informatics and Data Management", "Health Informatics", and the theoretical course "Biomedical Informatics and Technology" of the Department of Nursing. At the postgraduate level, he teaches the courses "Analysis of Biomedical Signals and Images" and "Intelligent Decision Making Systems" in the Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program "Organization and Management of Health Services - Health Informatics" and the course "Electronic Health and Its Applications" in the Postgraduate Programs of the Department of Nursing. He is a postdoctoral candidate in the Department of Nursing on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence in Nursing Education".
